Re: Chevy 2012 HD2500 bed height
Joybell, no urban cowboy here. A real one. Had an F250 with a fold down ball in the bed for my stock trailer. When I bought the fiver. That would solve your other problem. I ordered my fiver new in '99 and gave the dealer the bed height and told em I wanted the fiver to sit level. They built to ...

Re: Tire blowout
I have solved my tire blowout problem on my fiver by buying the cheapest tire I can get and driving not over 60mph and limiting my driving time per day to 5 or 6 hours. so far from Missouri, 2 trips to Florida and back and one trip to Colorado and back with no problems. Heading for Utah on Saturd...

Re: Chevy 2012 HD2500 bed height
Hi, again Neil. My '99 dually 4x4 has what looks like wasted space above the rear wheels....until I put the fiver on it. As far as 4x4 dually goes, I've been all over this country and 4 provinces in Canada in the past 12 yrs since we started full timing and I wouldn't be without the 4x4 or the du...

Re: Chevy 2012 HD2500 bed height
Well Neil, that height difference sounds like he's looking at a 4x4?? What is an Insbruck BH? I don't know what the BH may stand for. What about Ford & Dodge? I'm aware that the newer trucks come with these 22" wheels instead of 16". Which I think is stupid for a work truck.

Re: West Coast Trip
Travis , way to many things to see on that trip to mention here. But, I will highlight the highlight of our trip west from Houston a few yrs ago. Get on US90 as soon as you can. The area thru west TX is beautiful. Roy Beans jail is one"not to be missed". There is a state or national park on the...

Re: Heater fan blows only on high
In my opinion I wouldn't consider that a problem. Mine has run on high for 12yrs. I don't know if the lower speed works or not. Never bothered to try it. The blower motor is a not so easy to replace situation though. But, the problem is probably in the thermostat. That is easy to replace.

Re: Transfer Switch
Sounds like inflation hasn't hit the transfer switch business yet. Had to replace mine in the fiver about 5-6yrs ago. Don't remember much of the details but, I think it cost about $240.00 back then Take DW south for the winter.
