This trip was set up to visit the Southern Caribbean. We have yet to go there. Our itinerary included Grand Turks, Dominion Republic, Curacao, and Aruba.
Normally we leave out of the Cape Canaveral port , which is only 1 1/2 hours away, but this was a 8 day trip and was only offered out of Miami. I 95 can sometimes get wild, so we decided to go a day early and stay at the Hyatt in Miami. They have a package that allows you to leave your car there during the cruise and also take you to meet the cruise ship. All this for the same cost as parking at the cruise terminal. This allowed us to have a nice Italian meal the night before the cruise and be rested and on time the next day. The rooms were nice.
