One of my old friends from the Eastern Shore of Virgina just sent me this youtube video.
It is quite good and is geuine of the Eastern Shore lifestyle. I grew up there in the 50's and my first job with the C & P Telephone Company of Virginia was to maintain the Micro Wave Radio system for Tangier Island.
It was a 3 hour boat ride to the Island of Tangier and I remember thinking, I actually get paid to do this.
I recognized some of the land marks but a lot has changed.
The gaezbo I believe is in the town of Onancock, which is where I graduated from high school and started my career with the phone company.
We still visit there and it is very much still like this video.
This is a great place to take your RV and experience life like it was in the old days. It hasn't changed much.
