Dave,
Actually what would happen if you lost a sensor is you would get a no sensor display.
When you start the programming, in the program mode and you lock on the wheel you want to program, you get a no sen er indication on the monitor. You have 10 minutes to screw on a sensor. When the sensor transmits to the control panel once installed, it sends the base pressure. Once this is established it's looking for a 12 % drop for an alarm but will still continue to send the current pressure it sees.
If the sensor is lost, there is nothing to communicate with the control panel.

John - I was wondering whether there'd be a warning signal if it was loose, so it could be tightened before being lost. - Dave

Doesn't appear so.
You probably don't need a system like this because you would worry yourself to death about losing a $ 50.00 sensor. Just kidding!!
I do worry about someone stealing them or kids noticing they are different and taking them just because they are different looking.
They make a locking system for them but I haven't looked into it yet. Right now I am just trying to get everything installed. Big Bad John & Runaround Sue & Paris

Dave,
I finally had time today to do a little experimenting with the sensors.
I unscrewed one on the bug until I heard the air quit hissing, then went into the motorhome to see what was happening. I had an alarm on that wheel and it was blinking 00 pressure.
It appears if the sensor starts to back off it will either bring in a low pressure alarm while on the way down or if it's lost it will display 00.
Now we both know.

John - Thanks, I'm sure others who have or will be getting this device will find your experimentation helpful. I predict that this, like supplemental toad brake systems, will be the next "must have" accessory. Good luck. - Dave
