This was a private kiosk rented for the day to Caesars Place. The rent was $ 250,000 a day. I didn't studder, you read it correctly. It was right beside where we sat. They had an air conditioned area in the bottom where they could have free oeuvres and drinks. They had an awning to keep the hot sun off them. About an hour before the race they would remove the covered awning so they could see all the way around the track. Everyone had arm bands and they were very strict as to who could enter the private areas. We had our own personal porta John's. Big Bad John & Runaround Sue & Paris
This was the front row of our area. Not really that great. I guess we should have gambled some the night before and maybe we would have gotten an invitation. Big Bad John & Runaround Sue & Paris

Some of the races going on while we are getting used to the area. This is a funny story. I placed a bet on this particular race. $ 5.00 to win. I had #2 and another lady in back of us had #4. When they went by her horse was in the lead. After the race was over we couldn't see so we had to wait for it to come up on the Marquee. It looked like #4 won the race and the lady behind me had bragging rights. I went down to buy a ticket for the next race. It took about 20 minutes and while there I threw my old ticket away. When I got back they were all excited because #4 had been disqualified and my horse had won. Susie told them all that I wouldn't throw my old ticket away. When she asked me where the ticket was was I said I just threw it away but I know exactly where it is. Be right back. I was pretty sure which trash can it was in and I didn't fold it or crush it up. When I looked in there it was right on the top of the pile. I checked the date and the bet on #2 and it was it. When I was coming out of the trash can a guy who was on the trip with us saw me and said John, if you lost all your money and need something to eat, I will buy it for you. When I told our group what he said, they laughed their heads off. I also was holding my new 22.00 winnings up high for all of them to see. What great fun. Big Bad John & Runaround Sue & Paris
