This is without a doubt one of our favorite campgrounds. The location is what makes it so special. It's located about 1/2 mile off the bridge tunnel of the Eastern Shore side of Va.
It has changed somewhat. They have starting renting 6 months at a time to the locals, so the area closest to the water is starting to look more like a trailer park than a RV park. We stopped in to talk to the local people and they are a close nit group and real friendly.
As we were taking the pictures, Susie told some of them that this might be on the INTERNET and if they were wanted they might want to move out of the picture. they all loved it, and some did move out of the picture and then asked when we were bringing the RV in. We hope to go over next summer and stay with them a week.
What makes it nice is the bay is only 1/4 mile from the campground. they have a restaurant, full bar, music two nights a week and all the local guys have their boats with them. After a few beers the night before it is normal that you have your choice of which type of boat you want to fish in.
Check out the rig in the background, look what he is towing, and you get an idea of the type of people that camp here.
If anyone ever goes here, give us a report.
