I didn't realize I had a separate post on this. I must have a pretty good memory because I wrote the post right before this one and belive it or not the stories matched
This was near Deming and turned out to be real interesting. It's just a large stacked collection of rocks. Not sure what the origination was.
When we were returning to the campground that day, we spotted a tornado. We were about 10 miles out and hurried to try and get a closer look at the funnel. It was real black. By the time we got there it was gone. When we drove into the campground there was quite a commotion, with people running all over the place. Come to find out the tornado had come right thru the middle of the first row in the campground. It actually sucked our neighbors rug up in the air. 3 days later it was found a half mile away. It had flattened our satellite dish but other than that, it didn't really do any damage.
