This is definitely worth the time to see. They do a lot of entertaining on the ship now, such as wedding, party's,etc. There are restaurants, bars, and a lot of the old rooms have been restored and have large Plexiglas walls so you can see how they really looked in their day.
Here we are standing in line waiting to take the boat to Catalina Island.
When we were trying to find this place the night before, we were rear ended in the bug stopped at a light. We had left Virgina in June and it was December. We had a Virgina drivers license, Texas Tags, and Texas insurance, since we had joined Escapees, but had not yet made it to Livingston. We were sure the CHP was going to eat us up. They were real nice did all the paper work and never even questioned the mismatch in the drivers license and tags.
The lady that hit the car in back of us and knocked them into us was on a 3 hour hospital leave, with her night gown on and a IV drip still in her arm. It was close to Christmas and they had let her out to do some last minute shopping. She was driving a huge Range Rover and was last seen by the guys she hit looking in the mirror putting her make up on. Does that sound like California?
