We were still up on the 101 loop when we took these pictures. The beaches are huge in this area but are cold and not really suitable for laying out like the East Coast beaches. They are BIG.

We were staying at a coast to coast park called Ocean Mist and wanted to camp on the beach. When we saw this bridge access we almost changed our mind.
Two reasons
1. Would it hold the weight?
2. Will we fit?
We did it.

While out on the beach we found a kite flying event.

While watching the kites we ran into some people from Richmond,Va. We were from Va at the time and they said we were a long way from home.

We were used to seeing Hurricane evacuation routes but this one was new to us.
