When we were coming out of Idaho on the way to Seattle someone told us about Roslyn, Wash. This was where the TV Program Northern Exposure was filmed. When the show used to open, they always showed a moose walking by. Here it is.

We went over early in the morning and went to Holly's Bar where a lot of the scenes were filmed. The building had just be sold and was being converted to a restaurant. The lady who brought it was there and invited us to eat breakfast with her. She told us about all the adventures when the filming was happening and how they finally had to move the filming to a Hollywood set because of all the tourist disruptions, etc. A lot of the old cast pictures were on the wall.
If passing thru it's worth the trip.

This was a Sunrise Resort located in Moses Lake ,Washington. We found it thru the Coast to Coast system. It was really nice. It was mid September and the weather was still warm.

We got our first cell phone at this campground. It was an AT & T one rate that was $100.00 a month for 600 minutes and no roaming or long distance charges. We had a Seattle 206 area code on our phone and eveyone used to wonder who was calling from Washington,State until they got used to it being us.

The cell phone made RVing so much easier. We still didn't have Wi Fi at the time and had to rely on the campground phone line for our dial up. Compared to todays camping we were roughing it even though we were driving a Diesel Pusher with a slide.

Isn't it amazing how fast times change?
