This is the Big One. It was our favorite thing we saw in the whole area, with exception of the scenery.
This first picture is of the large indoor swimming area which is indoors and heated all year round. Can you imagine when the temperture drops below zero and they go to the mall to swim?

They had a large wave machine in the shallow end and had Carribean music playing. There was plenty of action the couple of days we were there.

In another area they had a large submarine that you could actually go under the water in.

This is in the middle of one of the shopping areas. The were 860 shops when we were there. It took us two days to shop them all. We found some real unusual items. Only brought two things, so we did ok. Not too far out of control. They had a hotel, night club, go cart track, driving range, amusement park and a lot of novelity shops. You could actually go there and spend a week on vacation and not be bored.
We went to the Mall of America in Minnesota later and it didn't even compare.

As a good rver, I supported the ice cream machine, and many times too much. When we left the beach I weighed 205 lbs. Near the end of our travels in looking at some of the photo's we had taken I was starting to get a little out of shape to the tune of 235 lbs. Too much ice cream and eating out. We were getting plenty of exercise but the intake was too much. It took a year and one half but I am back to 208.
If you are not careful, fulltime rving will put the weight on you.

Your pictures of niagara are absolutly fabulous. But I must say that the mall in Edmonton was the most dissappointing thing we saw on our trip thru Canada and Alaskaka. Go to the mall of america if you want to see a mall. Edmonton was big but no different than any mall we have been in. Mall of america is unique.
Your pictures of niagera got our jucies flowing to make another trip to niagera. Keep enjoying the rv life. Isnt the greatest thing we have ever done.

Roger,
Thanks for the comments.
Malls must be like RV's, and they are all different and have eye appeal to different tastes. We went to West Edmonton first and then to the Mall of America and in our case we were dissappointed in the Mall of America. Both from the outside, look just like big warehouses, but the Mall of American did have more outside appeal. I didn't like the fact that there was no overnight parking in the Mall of America, when they had huge parking lots mostly empty. When we get to the Minnesota area, I will be sure to post some pictures of the mall there.
From what I remember the Mall of America was more into the retail stores themselves, where as the West Edmonton Mall was into entertainment plus stores. Amusement parks,go cart tracks, swimming pools, night clubs, driving ranges, movie theaters, bars, bowling alleys, restaurants, beaches, hotels within the mall.It was designed for inside winter entertainment. We had never seen so much in one space. We didn't get that feeling in the Mall of America.
Anyway we are glad to have experienced both. Now everyone has to go to both to make the compareson and then they can vote for their choice.
By the way, what made the Mall of America more unique to you than the West Edmonton Mall? What grabbed your attention that was so different from a traditional mall.
Happy Travels

for some reason my last answer didnt go thru. excuse the small type. took typing in high school. can type fairly good but caps are a pain. mall of americas stores are unique for what they sell. the southwestern stores for example have floors the match what they sell. there was a store called junkyard dog. sold items such as purses made with license plates. they had chain link fences instead of doors. in the window there was junk cars. in edmonton you could move the stores three doors down and you would never know they moved. thats why we like mall of america better. for the shopping it was just like we have at home.
