This is the surronding area. You can tell we were in hot Arizonia from the burnt country side.
This was one of the extra treats we crossed as we traveled.
Ended up getting to St David after 6;30 at night and the gates were closed. We were able to talk our way in after explaining to the gate keeper the circumstances.
We had explained to the lady running the office we would be late and to notify the main gate. She was rude and didn't do anything to help us.
This was a coast to coast park belonging to Western Horizons. As we traveled and learned the ropes, we found that Western Horizons looked down on the coasties and really didn't want them anyway. We didn't reward them with our stay. Our plans had been to stay there a week, but they were so independant and rude we told them we would move on to other campgrounds that were friendly and appreciated our business. There was one other campgound that operated like this in Sedona,Az. Both of them had all the business they wanted and could care less. I wonder how they are doing in todays times. These were the only times we felt uncomfortable staying with Coast to Coast.
We went down to Ft. Hachucha and had a great stay. This was in the Tomestone area, lots to see and do.
