We made our annual trip to the farm to visit with Susie's brother Shorty and his family.
The farm atmosphere is always a treat for Paris.
Many varieties of dog, cats and goats for her to look at and chase.
The old farm house is still looking good.
Our usual parking place on the side of the mountain.
It was really hot this year and the AC in the motorhome was working overtime. Our power source comes from the barn on a 20 amp breaker and is 300 yards away. By the time the voltage gets to the motorhome it is only 90 volts. We hook up the Hughes Autoformer and set it in the high position which gives us a 18 volt boost. Usually we can operate at 108 volts with no problems. In the past we have always been able to run 1 AC and the refrigerator. This year we kept blowing the breaker. It was so hot and we were drawing enough current that we melted the extension cord plug to our adapter. Finally I decided to go gas on the fridge, gas on the hotwater and only run the AC and satellite on the power. We also changed the size and length of the cord from the chicken house to the motorhome. It took care of the problem and we were cool all thru the night and during the day. Without the Autoformer we would not have been able to stay there. Our Autoformer is 12 years old now and has never had a problem. We have never had an electronic problem with anything in the motorhome. I would say it has done a great job keeping our circuits operating in the normal ranges.

Paris has assumed her postion on the porch and thinks she is the security for the farm. Barks at anything that moves and loves every minute of it.
This was her first experience with kittens. It was one of the few cats she could get close to. Of course they had a mixture of tolerance with the cats. Some were real friendly and she could get close enough to them to smell them and there were others that we had warn her about . Absoutely no tolerance for dogs and would scratch her in a minute if she got too close.
Brooke, Shorty's grandaughter has become the typical teenager and spends most of her time with her horse. Almost ignoring the adults including Susie. When she was younger she was like glue to Susie. It was quite different this time.
She has become quite a young lady.
We did get a little time with her at the grown up table.
