This was the last stop before going into Canada. It was a different look than we had seen. When you look at the pictures of each area, you start to understand why there is no one area that is any prettier than another. They all are different and have something to offer.

Hey John,
I really enjoy all the pictures you've posted. Wish I could have met up with ya'll while you were here in Anchorage. I would have played host. Keep those photo's coming because I look forward to them.
I had and Allgero Bay in 1999-2000 and sold it to build/buy a bigger house (that was a mistake) anyway, I'm going to get another one with the next couple months and it will more than likely be the Phaeton model this time. I'll be putting alot of miles on the unit. Anyway, just wanted to drop a fast note-

Please don't get this wrong and the pictures are realy nice but we should call the photo forum, johnchurns photo forum. I have never seen so many pictures from one person. Are they done with a digital camera? Enjoy the RV lifestyle.

Tom,
Thanks for chimeing in. Many times I have felt the same way. Most of the guys who have traveled as much as we have, have web sites and display their pictures there. Since we do not travel fultime anymore, my wife has taken up painting and I have designed a web site to display her work, which is also a lot of work, but we enjoy it. The Photo site is open to all members, but I can tell you from experience. It takes a lot of time to upload and post the pictures. You have to have a lot of storage to hold the photo's on a permanent site and it is very difficult to learn how to post properly.
The reason I have kept posting pictures from our travels is because everyone has visions of where they would like to go but for some reason they are hesitant, don't have the time or just haven't decided where they want to spend their time. We have traveled to most all the coveted tourist areas and I am trying to give them an overview of what the area is like, then they can decide what suits them.
We did not get a digital camera until half way thru our fulltime travels. We have 7 albums of walmart developed travels. Many times we had to wait a couple of extra days for the film to come back to Walmart but the price was right. I remember one time, our film was late and we waited for 3 days with no results. I gave the Walmart clerk our phone number and asked her to call us when they came in and we would tell her where to send them. 3 months later she called and they had finally come back to the store. She called and we gave her the new travel address and she sent them to us, at no charge. I have to scan the pictures to a file, then upload them to a server and then post them on the RV America site. It's a lot of work but I enjoy doing it for the members. If they complain I will stop. I was under the impression that most of the members enjoy multi area posts.
Maybe you can be one of the many to add to the photo forum and help me out with some of your pictures of your travels. There can never be too many. This is entertainment, right? Big Bad John & Runaround Sue

HI JOhn
I didn't know ou stopped fulltiming. Was it kind of an experiment to see how you'd like it? Well I have to say keep the photo's coming!! I have a semmi pro digital camera and take tons of photo's for a couple web sites I run and at a night club I work at. I too used to use film and boy what a waste of money that is for high volume picture taking. I have a 1 gig USB hard drive that I store my imagines on and print only the ones I want. Is ually save everything in the TIF mode and then later if I need to post the picture or email it I reuce the res to do so. ANYWAY, I'll probably retire in a couple years which will put me at 46 and hit the road. The wife is getting more and more used to the idea of doing that for awhile. I don't know if I'll do it long term a but a couple years would be great.

JWKOBA,
I retired at 46 and Sue at 48. We were lucky to work for a big company. No Family money or businesses, just plain hard work and saving.
We lived on the beach for 3 years after we retired in Va Beach, but Susie got bored. She had an under graduate degree in business but wanted a masters in Psychology. They said if she could pass the GRE she would be accepted. She did and in a year and 1/2 she had her Masters in Psychology from Regent University in Va Beach. So we said now what? I suggested we go on the road because we had always wanted to do it and the timing was right. We sold the condo, brought a large 40 container, stored our furniture, brought a 38ft. diesel pusher, installed a Harley lift on the back, hooked up the bug and traveled 48 states in 3 years. We thought we would only be gone a year but it takes a lot longer than that to see all you really want to see.
Anyway, we came thru Florida on our travels, decided we missed the regular life, built a new house, kept the RV and now have the best of both worlds. We enjoy sharing out experiences with our friends.
Thanks for being interested.
