This was the first time we had taken the motorhome into Canada. When I pulled up to the custom's station I asked what should we do? She said do you have any alcohol aboard? I said yes. She said how much? I said a lot of half bottles of variety. She said do you have any tobacco on board? I said yes. She said how much? I said at least 50 cigars. Do you have any firearms? I said no. She said you need to pull over by that big building. When the Mounties got there I had all the whiskey bottles and cigars on the kitchen counter so they could see what I had. They asked if we had any thing valuable in the motorhome. We told them money ( cash ) and Susie's jewelry but they could not get to it because it was in a safe. They never asked to see inside the safe.
They made us wait outside while they searched the motorhome about 10 minutes. While they were doing the inside I opened up all the bins so they could check underneath. When they came out they said everything looked good and there was no need to look under the bins, I could close them back up.
They loved the Harley on the back and the Black Widow VW.
We crossed at Glacier Park Montana into Alberta.
