John,
AOL provides you free 20 megs of space to store files for every screen name you have--up to 140 megs if you have 7 screen names (and that's a lot of pictures!)
You need to go to keyword--myftpspace and set up a page for yourself. It can be a dummy page. Just use the template and leave everything set as they show the default. Then you will have registered yourself and you can begin uploading pictures to your FTP (file transfer protocol) space. It may seem a little tricky at first, but once you practice the steps, it is painless.
Then you will also be set up to use pictures on ebay, for example.
Then what you will do here is to give the URL (uniform resource locator) for the picture you want to post. For example, one of my screen names is WeLoveRVing. So, the picture URL would be:
http://members.aol.com/weloverving/001.jpg
Nothing should show up here since I don't actually have any file of that name right now.
Try it and if you have any questions you can send me a private message.
Good luck!
