Thanks for the recipe. I sure hope you want stop bringing them to the gtg. Right, Sharon?
I'm gonna give this a try. I tried making pralines the other day and they tasted wonderful but didn't set. So I tried again.. they were sugary and much darker... hated wasting my pecans so I quit. Gonna have to find an 8 cupper though. My biggest is a 4!
Guess you could make half a batch but I wouldn't know how long to cook it. I think I found my 8 cup pyrex measuring cup at Bed Bath and Beyond. At one time I had a 12 cup but my DH took hot water to the barn in it and broke it. I have looked and looked for another and the 8 cup is the largest I can find. This recipe sets up so fast sometimes it's hard to get it out of the bowl if you cook it too long.

Borrowed my sisters 8 cupper and it was VERY easy, but they still stayed soft. I could peel them off the wax paper but they would sag. I remembered them more like brittle? Used all the pecans so will take a break on the pralines :-)
took me awhile to find this so bumping it up so I can find it easier

Thanks Joella.
Again, my kind of recipe, but even better when Martha makes them and brings them to a GTG!
Bumping this up again, Sheila is looking for it.
Thanks Martha
do you use pieces or whole pecans?
