Hope you all don't hate to hear that question! It's always a fun topic when family and friends talk about what's cooking for dinner. Care to share? I'll go first.... Mexican fideo with lots of veges and alittle leftover chicken. Diana "Only those who will risk going too far can possibly find out how far one can go." T.S. Eliot

Fun idea ! I haven't heard of Mexican Fideo before - what is that ?? I'm a bad/lazy cook so I just had my new favorite thing to eat, a "wrap" - this one had deli sliced roast beef, provolone cheese, broccoli slaw, onion and horseradish sauce wrapped up in a wheat tortilla - I just ate this one cold, I have been known to heat them up occasionally ! There's a little ice cream left for dessert - yippee ! "If you don't know where you are going, you might wind up someplace else." Yogi Berra

Chili!
Unfortunately though, I made the chili last night and let it set on the stove to cool off a little while I brushed my teeth and got ready for bed. The intention was to put the covered pot in the refrigerator before I actually went to bed.
Well, lo and behold, what did I find still sitting on the stove this morning? - ugh! So I whisked it into the frig and hope that if I cook it again thoroughly tonight it will be okay.

I hate when that happens, Kim. I generally pitch it.
Tonight I had a sandwich on a whole wheat hard roll The meat was leftover pork roast ground up with dill pickle, onion and mayo/mustard. With it I ate raw baby carrots and sugar peas in the pod. Green tea w/lemon grass, iced. Chocolate angel food cake with low fat cool whip. Lenora & Choco

Fideo is pasta, it's kinda like angel hair except broken in pieces anywhere from 3/4 to an inch. It's usually with tomatoes, onions, chili powder; sometimes ground meat or left over chicken is added. I learned it from a friend who's family had fideo like mine had spaghetti. "Only those who will risk going too far can possibly find out how far one can go." T.S. Eliot

And the pasta is cheaper than spaghetti...it's like 4/$1 here. ...do you have a recipe or do you just toss in whatever? Alice

I usually just toss in whatever I have, like last night added zucs, really good. A google search will bring up many basic recipes. Di "Only those who will risk going too far can possibly find out how far one can go." T.S. Eliot
