Sally-------I have a recipe like this-------BUT------you put the biscuits into muffin tins----& press them into the tins-----& then you spoon some of the mixture into the muffin tins & then top the biscuits that are filled with the meat & bean mixture with cheese---- They come out as biscuits filled with meat mixture & cheese on top------ This works well if we are camping & I want to make the amount of biscuits for how many people we are going to have eating! Also if you are like me at a pot luck----if I'm the last person going through the line------those casseroles some times don't look so great!!!!!!! If I make this in biscuits & put them in a bum warming type basket------they stay warm & each biscuit can be taken out one at a time! Also since we are vegetarians I use Morning star crumbles instead of meat!

Sally----- I have a friend-- who instead of useing biscuits-------she uses a loaf of french bread-----splits it in half length wise-------puts each side of a loaf on a cookie sheet----& then covers the top of the french bread with the meat & bean mixture-----& covers it with cheese & puts it in the broiler on low until it is all hot & bubbly! And then slices the french bread---into serving sizes!

This is awesome !! Next time I think I'll make the meat mixture and freeze it in individual size packages then when I'm ready to eat it I can just cook a biscuit and put this over it - that way I could have a fresh hot biscuit since they don't freeze very well. This one is going in my recipe box for sure ! "If you don't know where you are going, you might wind up someplace else." Yogi Berra
