I'm still on pain pills with my foot and they made me lose my appetite. However, I just made a big plate of FF and Gravy with HP Sauce and had no problem finishing them! On the subject of weird sandwiches, Lettuce and Banana! Oh, and I worked for a restaurant in my varied careers and read a restaurant guide that listed the acceptibility of rotten tomatoes and rat poop allowed in Ketchup! Gross! 1984 Class A Allegro(Miss Piggy) Jean the Scot Bogie the Pit (rescued) Shona the Calico Cat

OMG! I am so glad that I don't eat katchup any more. But yeah the government allows a certain % of bug parts and dirt in all foods. I know that most food processing places are very clean but a few of them are questionable. My Mom worked at an A&P processing plant for a few years. After she saw what all went on she quit buying any groceries from A&P. My ex-husband worked for a trash and scrap hauling outfit as a welder for years. He told me that one of the elitest resturants in town would be the last place he would eat after seeing the condition of the kitchen when he had to talk to the manager one day. I thought he was full of 'it' until I started driving for the same trash & scrap company. I started out delivering the small dumpsters that so many places use. Some of the horrible kitchens I saw would really gross you all out. A few of what were my favorite resturants were crossed of my list!!! ;) Echo (who is a) future full timer a mom with an empty nest, single, stifled and ready to cut loose!

One of the favorite treats in our family was (still is) banana sandwiches. You mash up a ripe banana, and spread it on toast covered with mayo or Miracle Whip. It is sweet, and uses up over-ripe bananas. If you don't have the time to do it right, when will you have the time to do it over?

Oh yes, I used to make Banana Sandwiches (not on toast though) I'd give kids the choice of "wheels or squashed". Trivia - when some broad speaking Scottish friends came to America my friend Marion's children would ask her for "a jeely piece" (bread and jam) in no time the little American kids were going to her clamouring for jeely pieces. And let me add I nearly fainted the first time I heard an American mother threaten to slap her childs fanny. Believe me, in Scotland a fanny is another body part altogether, and not to be slapped! IF you need details, PM me, but I doubt it needs to be explained. 1984 Class A Allegro(Miss Piggy) Jean the Scot Bogie the Pit (rescued) Shona the Calico Cat
