These are meant for your dog!
1 package Beef Liver 1 Egg 3 cloves Garlic Corn Meal Flour Water
If the Liver is frozen, allow to defrost. Toss it, along with any juices, into either a blender or food processer. Add 1 egg, along with the shell, the peeled garlic and !/2 cup water. Whirl until it's disgusting. (I'm a vegetarian). Pour it into a large mixing bowl. Put another 1/2 cup of water in the blender or FP and whirl again. This helps to clean it. Pour that water into the bowl also. Start adding cornmeal, stirring it after each addition. Alternate with flour. Try to get about a 2 to 1 ratio of cornmeal and flour. When it's really stiff to mix, pour it into a greased fairly shallow pan. Bake at 350 for about 45 minutes. Break or cut it into bite size pieces. This needs to be refrigerated as there are no preservatives in it. Your dog will be convinced you really ARE God.

oh me too Bethers... I use to make liver cookies for when showing and I have to tell you.. we handlers have a habit of putting it in our mouths so that it's warm and wet for the dogs to perk them up..and I dang near blew it.. yep right in the ring..it cured me of Liver ever...so I would just cook up chicken breast in garlic..and they ate it and so did I ...LOL
This recipe Sparkle is very similar to the ones used at the shows.. guess it's one of those passed around for ages.. .. but oh my that liver sure stinks LOL..
God Bless that poor food processor.. giving me goose pimples now..eeeeeeewwwwwww... :gasp:

Okay, I'll bring treats - it will be up to you guys to figure out what's in them. I'd be especially suspicious of my Brownies!

Sparkle - great recipe. Lately, I've been sauteing chicken livers and hearts for the dogs. Add a little water, add lots of garlic cloves, simmer until mush(I added some wheat germ too) and dole out in freezer bags. Each nite defrost a bag and mix with dry. They Love it. It's cheaper, I think, than canned dog food but you have to get to supermarket early in morning or for some reason it's all bought up(?) When I'm on the road I'll try your recipe. Sounds like you could patent it. :) Marysdream Its all good!!!!!
