8 eggs at room temperature
Mix together..sifted together is preferred: 2 pounds powdered sugar 1 tsp salt 2 tsp cream of tartar 2 tsp baking soda
Beat the eggs until light and lemon colored. Beat in the sugar mix until the mixture is light and fluffy. Should be thick like a cake batter. Add 1 tsp vanilla.
Pour 1/3 cup into a mug and add 1/2 shot of both whiskey and rum or 1 shot of rum. Top with boiling water and sprinkle with nutmeg.
This will keep in the refrigerator for two days. Do not freeze. dpf

Yes...2# of powdered sugar...makes a big batch, but it's easy enough to halve or quarter this recipe. dpf
