I checked out pre-cooked bacon...for our latest trip. However, it is quite costly, so I decided to bake my own.. I'd seen Paula Dean's sons bake some on TV...
I put Release Foil on my baking dish and laid out the whole pound of bacon. Dean's sons sprinkled theirs with brown sugar...I did not.
I baked it at 375* until browned and almost crispy.. It will depend on how much you cook, how thick it is. sliced. I cooked mine in 10 minute increments until the bacon was as done as I wanted it. I let it cool and put in a Zip-lok bag. Kept it refrigerated and took out what I wanted at each breakfast cooking and microwaved it long enough to be heated..
Worked GOOD....Was GOOD...DH loved it. Saved me a lot of bacon cooking mess each morning!!
Happy RV Travels!! :-) Joella

Does the bacon splatter a lot while cooking in the oven? Today is a gift, that's why it's called the present. http://www.bestfitrecruiting.com/ouradventure.htm
