Crockpot Rotisserie Chicken
1 Whole Chicken (I cooked a 6 pound chicken)
Butter Spray..(Pam)
Lawry's Seasoned Salt (or your own seasonings)
4 Balls of Aluminum foil
Clean chicken inside and out. Spray with spray.
Sprinkle with Lawry's inside and out.
Spray inside of crockpot with cooking spray.
(Do not put any water in the crockpot).
Roll some wads of aluminum foil into balls and put them in the bottom of the crockpot.
The chicken is going to sit on these.
Put chicken back side down in crockpot on top
of aluminum balls. Cook on High (will not come out the same on low), 4-6 hours Make sure the lid of the
Crock Pot fits on tightly..
Now I have also put baking potatoes whole inside the foil and had them bake while cooking the chicken..
This is really tasty... I don't eat the skin..so it didn't bother me that it wasn't crisp..but boy the chicken was juicy.. and tasty.. I also used an Oven Stuffer by Perdue... and lots of chicken left over for other dishes.. I'll post too...
God Bless and Enjoy

Not really a recipe just a method of cooking? Here goes - One whole chicken
3/4 can of Beer (room temperture)
1/4 apple
stand the chicken up and "sit it" on the beer can.
stuff the apple in it's neck.
cook until done.
I understand there is a rack made now to keep the chicken in place. It is balancing act. That's why it's a BBQ. :p Hence the Drunken Chicken

Barb, tried the Rotisserie chicken today with a couple of changes....I only have the real small crockpot, so I used a cornish game hen, put a very thin coating of bbq sauce on it and sprinkled it with rosemary. Yum! Thanks for the recipe, will use it again!

Sharon, I'm glad you liked it... and by all means I'm thrilled when I read what you all do and changes..makes it interesting to me too !
I'm doing the Chicken for Sunday as I drive down to pick up hubby in Tampa..so when we get back dinner will be almost ready.. I'll put the Baking Potatoes in the foil..and have English Peas with dinner and with the left over chicken I'll have Chicken Wraps for on the way home and extra potatoes will make great fried ones too..:)
God Bless..
