1 lb bag of Pintos washed and picked 1 onion chopped 1 clove garlic chopped (or garlic powder) salt Turkey Kielbasa cut in chunks.. 7- 8 cups water
put pintos and onion and garlic in crock pot add water and salt...( I use a little over a tsp) Cover put Crock Pot on High... (6-7 hours) then last half hour add cut up Kielbasa..
*while this is cooking depending on your crock pot you may have to add a little water.. I add the kielbasa at the end mainly cause it will cook all the flavor out of the meat and it will have a boiled taste.. This way it keeps it's flavor and also adds just a hint to the pintos.... serve this with mashed potatoes, greens and corn bread .... always good the next day too..:) Life is full of surprises, just go with the flow !
