Crockpot Country Style Pork Ribs
2 to 3 pounds country style pork ribs, boneless
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1 large onion, quartered and sliced 1/4-inch thick
Sauce:
1/3 cup low sodium soy sauce
1/2 cup tomato ketchup
1 tablespoon prepared mustard
3 tablespoons brown sugar, or can use sugar-free maple syrup)
2 cloves garlic, minced
Dash black pepper
2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
1 teaspoon celery seed (optional)
Trim excess fat from ribs. In a large skillet, brown ribs in oil. Place in crock pot. Cover with sliced onion. In a bowl combine all sauce ingredients; pour evenly over ribs and onions. Cover and cook on LOW setting for 8 to 10 hours, or on HIGH for 4 to 5 hours.
Country style ribs recipe serves 4 to 6.
If sauce needs thickening, remove lid and cook on high for last hour.

Jomilt,
I do something very similar..but just a tad bit easier. Taste is great too !
Country Style Pork Ribs BBQ
Country Style Pork Ribs
Onion
BBQ (your favorite brand)
Garlic Powder, Salt and Pepper
Season Ribs first, then
Brown Ribs with onion then place in Crock Pot add
BBQ sauce Cover, Let cook on low up to 8 hours or High
4 hours.. All Crock Pots cook differently so test
to make sure done. The pork shreds easily . Serve on a bun with coleslaw on the side.
*I use 1 cup of sauce but depending on how much ribs
you have in crock pot.. I use 6 quart size and use
2-3 lbs. I prefer with the bone as it seems to give it more flavor.. you can also do this with pork roast as well. but browning meat first takes away the boiled taste.
God Bless

;)Both of these recipes sound good too me---I'd love to have either one right about now. I'm going to have to pick up some ribs next time I go to the grocery store :)

You are right, Fernie!! Both DO sound good. I wanted to put something in that was different.
My FAVORITE is plain!! Salt, pepper and garlic powder the pork country ribs. Place on baking dish with rack. Bake 350* till browned and tender. This is GOOD, and soooooooo simple!!!
Happy Travelin'

My new camping buddy made ribs even easier on our Quartzsite trip last weekend. She bought them in a package already cooked from Von's and heated them in the microwave! LOL Sure did taste good out there in the desert! No complaints from me!

Hi Barbzeee, I'm already home. I go every year with my Jeep Club, but they all fogged out on me this year. Fortunately, I met a gal on another forum that had never been there and really wanted to go, so we went! And we had a blast. She's a real hoot, I laughed the whole trip! I actually camp about 15 miles from Quartz, on BLM land. Yeah, boondocking. Hardly anyone there, plenty of room for puppies. It's so crowded around Quartz, I won't camp there. Besides, the views where I camp are beyond gorgeous. I'll e-mail pictures to you. If you prefer to be closer, there are a bunch of people from the General Forum that go. There is a thread there with directions where they camp. I just don't like the crowds, prefer peace and quiet. Don't do well around a crowd of people since DH passed. Guess I'll get over that eventually. If you have any other questions, you'll have my e-mail when I send you the pix. Maybe you can make it next year!
Good Roads,
Sharon
