Hi Ladies,

I've been a member of the RV America forum for quite awhile, but pretty much as a 'lurker'. I've enjoyed following the Town Talk for quite a while, and learned a lot and would like to be a member.

I'm married, three grown children and seven wonderful grandkids. We camped when our kids were young, then stopped for quite awhile and started again with a 5th wheel in 2001. Joined a Good Sam chapter here in Wisconsin and camp at least one weekend a month from May to October.

We've taken two extended trips with the RV....one month in Florida and then another time we spent 6 weeks in AZ.

Our Good Sam Club camps one weekend a month, since there are a few members who are still working. The weekend usually consists of going for a 'fish fry' on Friday evening. We have a potluck breakfast and a potluck supper on Saturday. Usually have our meeting after the breakfast and then can do whatever we wish until later in the afternoon. Sometimes the hosts plan special activities or games. If we're camping in an area where there are other activities, some go shopping, rummaging, or gambling if we're near a casino. The one thing that I really miss is that we don't do any campfire cooking....that used to be one of my favorite parts of camping when we camped with our kids years ago. We do have a campfire on Friday and Saturday nights, weather permitting. How far do you and your sister travel from home? What type of things do you do when camping? Have you been to any of the get togethers the ladies have organized?
