Hi Jean! Welcome to our Forum....so very happy to have you join and delighted you chose to post!
You will be amazed at how friendly people are at RV parks! Also, many parks have a full schedule of activities --- so if you want friends, they are easy to find.
I don't wish to live with our kids either, although they are wonderful people and I love the two dearly. However, having a trailer is a perfect way to see our gorgeous country--- and drop by occasionally to see the kids as well. You can have the best of both worlds!!
We travel with two litte dachshund sisters, and they have learned to be good girls in RV parks. They don't bark unless someone comes onto "our property". It's funny how they ignore people walking by, and ignore them but they know our "property boundaries" and let us know if someone encroaches. They will also ignore other dogs walking by...UNLESS one of them has fussed and told them ugly things as they strolled by. In that case, our girls will bark and tell that dog off EVERY time it is around.. Grin..
Again, Jean....WELCOME!! Hurry back and post often, we are anticipating getting to know you better!!
Happy RV Dreaming! :)
Joella
