Hello Girls,
I am back again. I have been so busy getting this house ready
for the market and working at the hospital four nights a week, that I don't know which end I am standing on. But the house is about 85% ready for sale.
Thank you all so much for the warm welcome and the
encouragement. I can hardly wait to be full time.
Laura, I just fell in love with Jed. What a beautiful face he
has. My grandpa had a dog like him named Skippy. We all
loved him when we visited them in La Grande, Oregon about
once a year.
Ms_B_Haven, I have been reading the full-timers RV newsletter on-line, thanks for the advice. Hope to see you out there sometime soon.
Sprinter, thank you for the tow car advice - I did look up the
info and now know that I need a little car. I thinking a small Ford or what I really want is a Jeep! I am looking for a used
Wrangler or something like that.
Jomilt, I love the Sisters, how precious! They are so adorable. I can't wait to own one again. Will check out the Dachshund Rescue Ranch in Oregon after I get started living in the RV. I never get lonely but I do want some company. I will probably be seeing you by next winter. My daughter, her hubby and my grandkids moved to Mt. Pleasant, Texas last Sept and I can't wait to see them again. I will probably stay around there for the winters.
GMCDesire, love your new rig!. It looks great, you have almost convinced me to go 5th wheel instead of Class A. I favor the Class A because it is so far above the ground and I feel safer, but the toad is the problem. I got two of the Keiva's Full-Timers books and they really answered a lot of questions. Those two are really pros in RVing. They are the Good Sam’s couple (Joe and Vicky) who do the seminars nation wide. Thank you for all the help - I am checking into Escapees, but I think Good Sams is less expensive. Good Sams is really broadening their services these last two years. I have been a member for about 12 years. Even have my house and auto insurance through them.
Lenora, Hope to get down to Vancouver on our way to Calif. (Sister and I promised a old school chum we would come to visit this summer or whenever we get started) I will send p.m. before we leave Bremerton. Can't wait to meet Choco.
Seeya_gal, I am here in Bremerton, across the water from Seattle. My parents came here in '46, but I also lived in Imperial Beach, Calif. when I was first married, my two boys were born there then convinced hubby to move to the beautiful Pacific Northwest. He loved it. My daughter was born here. I have been here ever since and am just aching to get out of here and see the rest of the USA. My 3 brothers, two sisters and I have been camping in the State Parks and Olympics since we were kids. My daughter was a camp ground host for 5 months last years at Dosiwallips State Parks on the Hoods Canal and she loved it. That is where I got the idea of workamping.
Well, you gals are so encouraging, I just can't wait to sell this house. I have a realtor and an RV agent who can't wait to get me on the road as soon as possible. Here's looking forward to seeing most of you somewhere, this year.
Take care and God Bless......
