Well, I'm several years from hitting the road fulltime. My goal will hopefully be realized once my youngest is out of high school and heading in her own direction. I have three of my own and I'm married to a wonderful man who also has three kids as well. It is truly a 'Brady Bunch' in more ways than not.
If I had my way, I'd be on the road now. But with a combined family and with the running of two homes, 5 teens still at home and one in the military, who knows when I'll hit the road. My husband has gone back to school filltime focused on network engineering as his career path and is struggling with my goal (one that he was aware of before marrying me) of living fulltime on the road.
My husband, even though he talks of sharing my dream, is hardpressed even to leave the house unless strongly convinced by me. But once he's out and smelling that fresh air, only then is he appreciative.
It's going to be an interesting page-turner that's for sure! :) Michelle

Michelle Welcome aboard! From your 'handle' I'd say that indeed you are going to go no matter what! I hope you can nudge your dh (you can look up what dh means - various things) along the way. I know a lot of the gals here travel on their own and I will as well. I'll be on the road the first of April. I've RV'd my entire life and am really looking forward to hitting the road. I hope you'll be able to get your Brady bunch on the road - at least part of you! My youngest is 20 so I'm feeling my wings beneath my feet. You'll find a ton of support here! Welcome Michelle, as you can see from my sign on name "Soon2bRV" which means soon to be an RVer which I did purchase one 2 mos. back but have yet to go on an excursion, nonetheless, I moved forward with my dream. I'm sure you will too and it will happen at the perfect time. This is the first RV site I've been on & have been hooked ever since, these ladies are gems & I look forward to getting online just to touch basis with them.

I'm going on 8 yrs full-time and have never regretted it, I was lucky that my in-laws were full-timers so the DH used to go camping with them all his life and traveled so he loves it and I used to go with a Single Aunt in the Summer times so I loved it to so it was fate to get a RV of our own.
By the way my Aunt still likes to take off in her van to the campgrounds or boondocks at the casino's and she just turned 75!!
I'd say get a class C so all the kids can come with ya and start camping! Somehow Class C's have more bunk space for kids.

Welcome welcome!! Hope you get your dream!!!!! We have been fulltiming for eight years and love it. DH only hesitated when he thought it would be more expensive than the s/b then he realized he no longer had to mow the lawn or paint the house.
