I don't know WHY Satellite antenna installation would be so very high. Ours was far less than that and it's an automatic antenna. We bought it at Camping World and was around $900. It has two leads in to run two satellite receivers. They do make an antenna that is a mobile automatic that changes as you head down the highway, but you don't need that since you have a 5Th wheel and you'd not be pulling it and watching Satellite TV at the same time.
You said you are going to use a tow service for now. Did you mean to move it to the park where it will stay? If so, I don't see why you couldn't have a FREE antenna and receiver from a local company installed just as you would in a home, an apartment, etc. In fact I don't see why Dirct TV wouldn't move it for you.
Don't go with Dish Network. Their programming comes on two satellites, and the RV antennas don't have "skew" on them to get both satellites at the same time. You cannot watch different shows on two different receivers. Direct TV is on one satellite and all programing on the one.
Does the RV park you are going to stay in have propane for sale, or a propane truck that will be coming through? I'd manage on the two propane bottles you have now...and check out supply and demand needs first before I blew $350 on a larger tank.
