Hi there.
I'm new to the forum and have been researching the ins/outs of MH vs. TT. I just recently saw the new TT by Trailmanor -- it is not a pop up -- it is a traditional TT but very light weight. Does anyone have any information, opionion, etc. on this new TT? Any help would be much appreciated.

Yes, I will be using it for weekend trips. I thought that a TT would be a good idea for a little while. I did not want to commit to a MH just yet. A TT would help me get my feet wet. I have rented a MH several times for local travel and had a terrific time. So, I thought I'd get my feet wet with a TT and then graduate to a MH later down the line. I wanted to be able to travel a bit and still have my car available for excursions while vacationing.
The TT I'm looking at is a new 2009 -- it is their first ever non-pop up travel trailer -- light weight for an SUV to tow but a little more roomy than the the other trailers that my car can tow.
I'm hoping that someone out there might have a bit of insight about this new TT. Just looking for some information before I make an investment.

I just looked at the Trailmanors. I'm assuming that you're referring to their new ultra-light "upright" trailer -- the 23' model. While the weight looks good, apart from the dinette there's nowhere to sit. Also, if you're thinking of pulling it with an SUV, something that long might become a case of "the tail wagging the dog" if your SUV is on the small side. While the trailer is lightweight, it's still got a high profile & could really get caught in the wind -- and you know how windy it can get here in So. Calif!
I'd look at what your car is capable of towing and go from there. There are several options for smaller SUVs, if that's what you've got.

I drive a Honda Pilot. It is a medium sized SUV and capable of towing 3500 lbs. According to the literature on the trialmanor TT -- it weights in at 2500 minus all the bells and whistles. The one that I looked at near me comes in at just under 3000 which I think is what I can handle. We'll see. Luckily, I have a couple of friends who own MH and of course, have tons of info as well as opinions for me.
Until I purchase, I'll be doing the rental thing -- love this one particular model Class C -- bath in the back, dinnette and couch with bed overhead. Works perfect for Lola (Chihuahua/Terrier mix). :)
