Will you home school? I cannot think of a nicer way to grow up and learn about the country but it will be important to build in social experience as well, I expect...

Welcome !!!! I'm glad you've joined us :D I full time, but my kids have 4 legs and fur so it's not the same - HA !!! Like the others have said, school would be the big concern and I would think you've thought of that. I'm sure there are people who travel with kids and home school them - anything is doable and your daughter is young enough that you could home school for the first year or two and re-asses as you went along. Hi and Welcome to the Forum. I have met families that are in both categories in the past several months. One woman has been homeschooling her children since they have lived in their Class A. She had a son 13 and two daughters. They have been living in this class A since 1997. Then there was the family living in a 40 ft 5er. They had three children also and they attended school in the city somewhere. There was a school right next to the campground, they might have gone there. I think many people will begin to rethink stick houses and all of the pains that come with them. I don't know what kind of RV you will choose but when I peeked into mine I knew it was home. I retired at age 62 and chose to live fulltime in my Class C. OB44

Thank you to everyone for the warm welcome. I have considered homeschooling my daughter on and off since she was a toddler. At the moment my plan is to send her to traditional school because I have to stay local for work.
I do have large chunks of time off in summer and winter though so I'd plan to do a lot of traveling then. I don't know if that would be very compatible with a traditional school schedule so we might end up homeschooling or some sort of hybrid of co-op education plus mommy as teacher.
So far I'm really just doing feasability research. I want to know what others have done and learn from experienced RVers to see if we are even RV kinda people!

Hi, just wanted to add my "welcome"! I remember another member who was going to homeschool her kids while traveling. I want to say it was Darcie or Danar, but I could just be having a senior moment.
