I thought I had joined this group long ago, but did not and last night I barged into the chat room only to find out that I had not joined. Thank you for making me welcome and as promised I have joined and am posting my intro.
I am a 59 yo, married, receptionist, who is longing to hit the road full time. I love to make and collect dollhouse miniatures, mostly 1:12 scale with an emphasis on miniature plants and flowers. I also have tried and do many other arts & crafts. We live in southwestern NH and neither one of us looks forward to the snow here in the winter. I am so tired of shoveling the stuff. If I am going to shovel something let it be sand on a beach somewhere.
My husband is not well and is 10 years older than I. It is my hope that we can spend our golden years on the road, but I don't think it is going to happen. Yet I am fully prepared to do it on my own if that is how it ends up. Right now we have a 26 ft Rockwood towed by a 06 Tundra double cab for the kids to ride in comfort. I would like to be able to go into a MH, but I can deal with what I have if I need to. The dream vehicle for me would be a Newmar Mountainaire with a smart car for a toad, but we will see.
We live with our three shetland sheepdogs. As you can see in the picture there are 4, but we lost the little guy on the right 2 months ago. Last night I was asked to post a pic of my canine children so here goes and hopefully it will work.
I also have many more pictures on webshots of miniatures I have made in the past 4 years if you would like to take a look.
