Welcome Vicki! What fun! I know that you'll begin to feel right at home in your new rig as you spend time in it.
I've been thinking about how everyone gets all "excited" over all the things they need to learn when they get their new RV. You know, when you buy a house there are just as many things you need to learn about it to make it work for you -- maybe even more. As far as I can see, the biggest difference between a stick house and one on wheels are the wheels. Shoot, if we do something stupid in a stick house (like leave the gas stove on -- thanks to a friend, I got to experience that), it can be just as dangerous as leaving the propane on in the RV.
So, maybe this will change how you look at what you have to learn in your new rigs. If you did it in a home, you can sure do it in your home on wheels! Not so scary when you think of it that way!

I live north of Houston and was scared to get on the freeway also. Try leaving town when traffic is light and stay off the main roads to start. I love camping at Livingston State Park and actually I'm going this weekend. I drive a 28' class A 1994 Fourwinds by Thor. It didn't come with an owners manual, so I had to learn as I went. Yes I made a few mistakes but had fun laughing at myself cause most of them were pretty stupid. I do have a husband but most of the time I drive it myself and he meets me a day or two later and leaves early so I am on my own. I also take it to agility trials before Opal was injured and am hoping Carmella will be ready to compete at the end of the year. I love my alone times with the dogs, and love the relaxation of getting away from home, where I am always working. Good luck to you. Also if any of you have grandkids or young children try going to Jellystone Park in Waller, Texas. It is a clean super updated park with 4 water features. Would you believe I'm still waiting for my ladder to be installed? At least it finally arrived at the local Camping World yesterday. Had a really nice guy at the local CW fight for me with the Albuquerque bunch and whatever he said must have worked because they shipped it the very next day. Poor Flitter might get whole one of these days.
