Hi Vickie!! Welcome to our Forum!! We have a great deal of women who go it alone in their RV's. I am not one of them, I am married and we travel with two one year old dachshund sisters.
We have not gone much this year due to husband's health issues, but I haven't given up that we'll soon be on the road again. We do not full-time.
Many of our ladies do and many workkamp and live permanently in their RV's.
I'm glad your friend's husband is going to teach you to drive your RV. I don't blame you for being leery of driving around Spring!! I try to stay out of Houston and all surrounding areas myself. We live in Bellville.
I'd just pick the time when traffic is the lightest and head for the hills and less traffic at that time.
Do you have a first trip in mind. Sure love to hear all about it. Is your motorhome a Class A, or C? My favorite RV of all we had was a class C...and if I were traveling alone I would have a motorhome, rather than the trailer we own at this time.
I'm so happy you chose to join our Forum, and that you posted to allow us to get to know you! Do come back often, we'd love to learn more about you and your plans for future traveling.
Have a wonderful afternoon, Vicki!!!
