Linda, welcome to our forum. Yes, there are women here who RV solo, with their husbands and/or dogs, friends, canaries, etc. Many of us bought our RVs after much advice here. I'm sorry you aren't getting support on your end ... and I suspect they may be trying to scare you out of traveling as a woman alone (although you don't sound easy to scare. LOL!).
I may be the raging feminist here, but I think American society (and media) as a whole tries to frighten us women into staying in our "place." I personally think my "place" is the captain's chair in my MH. LOL.
All I know is this is the BEST and the worst time to be buying an RV. The BEST because gas prices will be forcing lots of folks to sell their RVs. You know the worst reason. But you'll probably save enough on your RV purchase to offset gas prices for quite a while. LOL!
But welcome. No doubt you have found the other web sites that have specific workkamping forums. If not, visit RV.net and IRV2.com to see opportunities posted. I'm currently workkamping on an island off the Washington coast. It's very cool.
Again, welcome!
