I hope I'm not just confusing everyone.

KK, it will take more than a double post to confuse this group. We are helpful, hopeful, and sometimes just plain crazy. We discuss almost everything (in good taste),hijack conversations and sometimes even get back to the point ;) Family triumphs and woes, Rving fun and disasters. A very nice virtual extended family. (internet sisters)
Welcome. Sue

Welcome to the women's forum, KK.
I'm one of the single women full-timers - but definitely not retired (which I could be, but alas, age and money requirements make that a future hope). However, that hasn't stopped me from finding creative employment to allow myself to do this.
All ages, all different ways of travelling on this forum - makes it lots of fun.

Welcome, KK -
You're not in the wrong place if you are looking for a group of wacky women who are from all walks of life, live all over the country and Canada, are young and old, experienced at camping or no experience at all, have a RV, had a RV or wish they had a RV, worker bees or retirees, who are there for each other any time of the day or night. We share joy, sorrow, disgust, anger, laughter, and a lot more. We share friendship. Pull up your computer chair and jump into the pool. There isn't another site, forum or chat room like it - anywhere!

Welcome KK glad you have joined us. After reading all the descriptions of what kind of a place this is, my eyes opened a bit wider as to how thankful I am to have found such a caring group of friends.
I guess I shouldn't be surprised by feeling we are connected even thought we haven't met face to face when I think of reading and hearing about how pen pals were many times faithful friends, sometimes for life. Guess this is the new version of Pen Pals!!

Ladies,
I feel so welcome, thank you! From all the replies I've gotten, I'm pretty sure I can fit in here.
We are a "typical" family. Husband, wife, 2 kids, 2 dogs, 3 cats. We live in the country in East Texas and spend most of our time just the 4 of us. My husband is a firefighter and I work M-F 8-5 so any time his schedule rotates to weekend off, we hook up and go. There is a COE park 30 minutes from our house and it's perfect for those quick trips. My in-laws live right behind us and they have been camping all of their married life (50+ years).
We have only been married 3 1/2 years, due to bad past marriages that finally ended and I wasn't a camper before we met. Now, I'm totally hooked and want to get away every chance I get.
We will be heading for Arkansas this coming weekend to my family reunion and will be camping with my brother and his wife.
We are also planning our biggest trip yet for July. We are heading to Florida to, you guessed it, Walt Disney World!!! After WDW, we are going to crash at Gulf Shores, Ala for a few days.
I'm glad to be here and now that you know a little bit about me, I look forward to getting to know all of you.
May God bless you as He has blessed me,
KK

KK.....Let me add my welcome here to you....As the rest of the Gals have stated you are in the RIGHT place!! My DH is retired from the Army and the state of PA...so I'm kinda' the "unofficial Military Info" person....we've been full-timing for over 4 years....yes, live in a RV/camper 24/7.....and we love it...
We are also Moms, Daughters, Grandmas, wives, sisters, aunts, but most of all we're each others BEST RV FRIENDS!!!
So jump in at any time....

Hi KK, my husband was also a firefighter, NYC for 20 yrs. We had 6 kids
and the ONLY vacations we got were camping , he used to save up his
vacations so he'd get 6 weeks in the Summer and we'd head out West.
Those were the best of times , didn't have to worry about the kids they
would make friends immediately and be in the pool all day . People used
to think we were crazy taking 6 kids camping, believe me they didn't
know what they were missing. Welcome and glad you found us or did we
find you.....................something to think about
