Hi RVforme. I have a 31' Gulfstream Class C with the v-10 engine. If you're going to do much hill climbing you have more power with the V10. I get anywhere between 7.5 and 10 mpg. I keep the speed to 55 mph and that makes a tremendous difference in the gas mileage. I tow a Saturn car and I fulltime. If you're going to fulltime really think about making up your bed every night. I had a Class B and found it to be a nusience but the shorter, the more maneuverable so its a tradeoff. Probably don't need a generator unless you're going to boondock a lot. I have one but the only time I use it is when I stop at a reststop to fix lunch sometimes and occasionally overnight at a reststop on my way somewhere. When gas goes up we just drive a little less. Tend to stay in one spot longer and use car to sightsee. Let us all hear after you've looked at the rig near you.
