Also, they have chapters around the US. I just joined the new England chapter...I think the dues are $5 or $10.

I'm not a single RVer yet but when the day comes when I am placed in that situation and we still have an RV I may indeed keep going on down the road. By then, who knows we may be traveled out and the urge to wander may be satisfied.
We have met many single ladies on the road who are doing very well. Many do take others along for the ride and most have pets so they are not alone. And as we all know there is no such thing as a stranger. With our many club decals on the window (Escapees, FMCA, FCOC, & Good Sam)-- we are constantly stopping to converse at rest areas, fuel stations and RV parks -- stories of the road and such. Woman are better at being alone anyways, can find creative ways to use thier time and are maybe more organized and safety conscious. So why not...if you want to get out there.
I think it's important to be somewhat mechanical minded. RVs unlike a simple auto have many systems to maintain. So, "know your rig".
