The campground that I stayed in in Hemet is called Palm Village RV Resort and was WONDERFUL. There were about 13 or 1400 hundred people. Great for biking around. I did an entertaining travel lecture and just loved everything about it.
I'll be heading down there next year - earlier and staying longer. I'm hoping to set up writing classes at the campground and at the library.
Can't wait to go back. Joei Carlton Hossack

Hi Joei - and Welcome. Would certainly be interested in meeting up at that RV park in Hemet. Not too far from here, and I love to write myself. Again, welcome and look forward to hopefully crossing paths and pens with you in the future. Live, Love, Laugh - Aloha Donna & Willie 05 32' Seabreeze Class A 07 Jeep Liberty Ltd

Hi Joei, Welcome! It was me that you met back in Nov 20,2003 and I bought your book "Alaska Bound and gagged". Since it was so long ago I cannot remember where it was though..hum....ok just looked in my log book and I met you over at Rainbows End in Livingston TX. Thank goodness for log books or I wouldn't know where I was last month!
You've joined a fun bunch of gals here...hum...maybe we'll be in one of your future books... :)

Your post might have been the reason this group came up when I googled MY name.....so thank you. Glad to know that you're still RVing. I now have a condo in Surrey, BC because my truck camper was closing in on me after 9 years in it but I love being on the road.
I loved that 4:00 get together every day at the Escapee RV Parks. It gave us a chance to meet our friends and make new ones. Joei Carlton Hossack

Joei -
Yup! That's the place! My camping club was there in February. Public areas are really nice, some of the sites not that great as some resorts. How about that pool area, huh? And did you walk down the washes and see what some of those folks have done with their park models and sites? Quite a few have added decks, screened in porches, etc. Pretty darn nice for winter quarters. Did you notice half the park is from BC? And the other half from Alberta!
Probably be there next February, too. If you're there we'll look each other up!

Last time I was at Rainbows End there was a Thunder shower and I was shocked at how much water was gushing off my awning!!! Yeah we liked the 4:00 socials too, I learned there to never play dominoes on the night they play Bridge in the same building. Thought the Bridge players were going to kill us because we were laughing and having fun! We had to go to the bigger clubhouse the next night to not be shot at the other one lol

Thank you, Joella. I printed out the post a picture info and will try it at a later date. Right now I'm totally frustrated with the camera. I take it from your picture that you are from TEXAS. Joei Carlton Hossack
