Been fulltiming 1 year. Loving it as I am a 'gypsy" at heart. I have dreamed of just living on the road and traveling. We are in the Rio Grande Valley, TX, but will be heading west and north the first of april. I am an oil painter, golfer and love to play water volleyball. I enjoy seeing new sights and meeting new friends. We always have a couple of extra chairs sitting out. We just had our "block party" for those who are leaving end of month and it was sad as I have made some good women friends. Only 3 of us are coming back here next winter. We (the women) have copied each others decorating/tips from each other and it has been fun. I am on my PC usually every other day. I am always looking for tips and recipes and things to do. irishgirl

I will try and get Karl to set me up to send pictures. I did a little re-decorating. Around the stove for a back splash I went to Menards or Home Depot and bought two ceiling tiles.. each panel has what appears to be 12 tin type tiles. since I have oak I got them in bronze. Then we took out our couch. got an oak desk, unscrewed the table and pulled it out from the window. My women friends wondered why I had the table up against the window, and then told me that the bolts in the floor are for the initial shipping . oh well.....I dont have a lot of stuff around as I dont collect. I do put my pictures on ther PC. I love to read and will stop whatever to visit. I am glad for your responses and interest. Hope we can exchange ideas and travel experiences. I am Irish as both grandmother and greatgrandmother came from Ireland in 1925 to Ashtabula, Ohio to work as domestics. Happy St. patty's day irishgirl

Hello Joella, do you winter near Houston ? We are in Alamo, TX. It was 101 today and we had to go Mex. for more dental work. One more appt April 2 and we will head for Colorado for a couple of weeks. We will be back in Minnesota may 1 as the campgrounds in minnesota dont open until then. We'll be there the entire summer, Duluth. This was our first winter in the RGV and we fell inlove with the tropical weather, Padre Island, and eating at Dirty Al's, all the shopping centers etc. etc. you know what I mean. Karl and I both golf and we have a free 9 hole par 3 golf course here. activities go on 7 days a week. Since we just retired, it is wonderful getting used sleeping in and being free to do as we please without deadlines. Thanks for responding irishgirl

Welcome Irishgirl & Mountainwoman
I have a dear friend that is from Ireland, that is on my Bucket List to go to Ireland for a trip. I touched down in Shannon Ireland on a plane heading to West Germany where I lived back in 1973-74, just outside Stuttgart where they made all the Mercedes. It's true the grass really is Green Green in Ireland! I'm a wee bit Irish from my Grandmother. Bought my corned beef & Cabbage tonight to have our Irish dinner on Monday.

Irishgirl, we are not full-timers and our home is in Bellville, TX.
You are a girl after my own heart! Love to redecorate our RV's and make them ours! In this one, we took out our couch and put in two recliners. Added wallpaper border to the bath, and am looking for a replacement border for living room/kitchen area.
I took down all valances and re-upholstered them in colors I like. Re-covered the dinette cushions as well. The colors that came in our trailer were brown on brown on brown...and were double dog ugly!!
Removed spread and shams and added a new quilt with shams for a spread.
Love your backsplash decor!
We spent the month of December in Mercedes in the RGV, and DH saw his dentist in Mexico. Neat resort park there that has it's own golf course. We know Dirty Al's, but have not eaten there.
Enjoy your day, and again----happy you have joined us.
Joella
