Don't know all details but my sister and her DH lived in NY. When they went fulltime they got residency in S. Dakota by getting a driver's licence and setting up a mailbox. She is a member of Escapees also. I believe there is no state income tax and veh. insurance is low. She did a lot of research and talking with fulltimers.
We were already Florida residents so have just kept that.
We do our voting by mail. We have not been sorry about our decision. Love the traveling and people we have met and freedom to come and go. We may go back to having a stick house some day, but for now we're staying on the road.

Trudy, Yes we are WA residents, some mail does go to my Uncles house for us and he forwards our mail, we use the Livingston TX address for our magazines, clubs we belong to mail and other mail. We vote through absentee ballots for WA...my Uncle forwards the ballots to us. Yes it does get confusing but works for us. Dan does our own taxes. I'll have to ask Dan. So far has not been a problem and we have been gone 7 yrs now.
