Hi everyone. I am from Vancouver Island and have been living and teaching in Mexico (various states) for over 10 years. Planning my RV retirement.
Way back when I was a puppy (26yrs old) I bought m first Class A 28 footer. All alone, worked and lived between two jobs for 2 years from my Class A.
Later (about 40 yrs old) I bought a fully camperized van and drove it from Vancouver to Cabo San Lucas.
At this time, I live in a small trailer that is set up 110/piped etc. in Loreto BCS. Starting to study the new rigs and get back into the RV life! I would like information of a newsletter that I may receive online........as well as.......... connect with RVing people nearby, and far away! My email is suzysailbag@yahoo.com....hoping to hear from y'all!

Welcome Janyne, my daughter lives on the Isla La Mujeres. She teaches English to Hotel employees. That way if you ask for a Screwdriver you get an orange drink wih Vodka, not a tool.

Hi, Jayne and welcome!
I'm fairly new here, too, and am trying to plan my new RVing life by asking tons of questions.
AS for newsletters I find they are included in club memberships mostly. Someone else may be able to help you with that.
Post often! Send pictures of your adventures in Mexico. Everyone here loves hearing/seeing those.

Sometimes, the only right answer is silence...which in and of itself speaks a thousand words.

Hi Jayne,
I LOVE Mexico and Baja is the one place I have not gone to yet. A group of friends just headed down there this week.
One of these days I'll get your way and look you up so keep in touch with us.
I don't know of any newsletters either, but I am an Escapee and get their magazines. How is your mail system where you are?

hey - great opener! (idiomatic expression)...........Isla Mujeres is Cancun side - right? I don't like the baja much, only been here for 7 months, hurricanes and high winds too often, and too scarey..............
just finished 3 years in Acapulco.........temps the same all the time mostly...........

well...........i have one year in huatulco, oaxaca..........3 years in acapulco, 2 years in zihuatenejo, 10 months in tamaulipas (below texas) and have visited guadalajara one month, plus various cities in between these places!
Today in the baja is VERY windy....just not a wind person! Shiver at the word hurricane. Tough to grow things (like green veggies) when it's only sand and almost no water..........
Mail service is WONDERFUL but traditionally slow. I send a letter to Vanc Isl (my Mom) once a week and it takes 3 weeks to get to her..........and vice versa for one to come to me from her.
my email is suzysailbag@yahoo.com......I get on wireless about one hour a day..........
CHAT at me, and send ALL those questions!

Hi Jayne, I have never visited my daughter there and am ashamed to say I don't know where it is. Thank heaven for e-mail. With that she could be next door! I travel fulltime except for when I workamp, which I do each summer. I spent 7 months working at the Grand Canyon, this summer I'll be in South Dakota. Right now I'm in Florida. Lollygagging, not working.

lolygaggling...........try teaching that word!
Another floridanian (or how are the folks there called?) Isla Mujeres is said to be too gorgeous, and a lot of very groovy people settled there too!
Hoping to get a pic on the forum.........I am doggy lover.....used to be Yorkie Breeder but didn't work because I couldn't part with the puppies. Grew up in the bush/forest nearest neighbour half a mile...........rowing my homemade dingy, picking oysters and learning how to grow food........
chat soon! :)
