Morning Marta....love your casa! Looks like you guys did a fantastic job on it! Yup, been jeepin' at Truckhaven quite often, but you better check before you go out there this year, last I heard they were trying to get it closed to off-roaders. An annual run had to be moved to Ocotillo because of that. Pretty soon there won't be anywhere for us to play! I go out to Mammoth Wash for turkey day with the jeep club. We do sand and rock there. Hard to get into, tho, 20 some miles of washboard out of Niland. Needless to say, I do about 5mph all the way!!! Ride Safe!! Now and then it's good to pause in our pursuit of happiness and just be happy. Guillaume Apollinaire

I remember the weekend that the TDS run had to be moved. Which club are you with? I have family in the San Diego Outbacks, and old friends in the 4x4 Freelanders from the LA area.
It is nice to find other desert campers. I post on another small private message board and I don't think they believe half of my stories.

Hey Marta, yeah, people just don't believe the crazy stuff we do in jeeps and if they do they just ask "why in the world would you do that???Are you nuts????" LOL! I'm with the Drifters out of Chino.
Leaving the Ft. Worth area today heading in the general direction of home, don't know when I'll have wifi again, so have a good one and take care. Now and then it's good to pause in our pursuit of happiness and just be happy. Guillaume Apollinaire

Hi Martagrin and welcome.
I love your home - it's beautiful. Looking so good outside, I can only imagine what the inside is like. Just like with us - age is only a number :) Smiling is contagious - try it!

Marta, what a cool looking rig you have!!! So glad you were able to get the pictures to work. We so love to see everyone's pride and joys. Thought I'd show you some desert pics and tent days of our humble beginnings.
Our Tent camp (actually camp consisted of 2 other dome tents. 1 used for storage and potty and other for the 3 older boys and dog)
My son (15 at the time), getting a little rambunctious
almost ran over dear old mom taking this picture

Beautiful. Was the dune shot in Glamis? Isn't this the best family activity ever? I grew up doing it with my parents - we planted a permanent trailer in Glamis over by Boardmanville. Now, all of us cousins who rode together as kids are still doing it together, with our kids.
I have some errands to run. When I return, I'll post some of my pics from Thanksgiving, last year.

No, those dunes are in Ogelsby. And yes it is fun. I couldn't do it if I didn't have the extreme suspension kit on it. Before it, I'd end up going to bed with 3 Advil and barely able to get out of bed the next day due to aches and pains. Now with suspension, knee wraps, and only 2 Advil at beddy time, I wake up rip roarin and ready to go :) Live, Love, Laugh - Aloha Donna & Willie 05 32' Seabreeze Class A 07 Jeep Liberty Ltd
