Hi Carole,
It's nice to meet you :) I am sorry for the loss of your husband, but glad you are looking to your future in hope. I am excited for you in considering this lifestyle.
I bought a class B Motorhome because I didn't want to tow anything or drive anything big. I like being self contained. Although, it is considered small for a lot of people, it has everything I need. I am basically only in it to drive and sleep. I love being outdoors whenever I can when I'm not working.
When I need maintenance, I will take it to my dealer or another nearby service center depending on where I am.
As far as workamping, the other ladies here will be able to shed some light for you. I know Bethers has done it for a couple of years now.
Where in PA are you from? I am in Womelsdorf and will be here for another year yet.
The Escapees RV Club has terrific classes available to teach you all things RV. Also, if you purchase your RV from a dealership, they should do a walk-thru with you and explain all the systems very thoroughly. Take good notes and go home and read your manuals. You'll do just fine with practice.
Good Luck with your decision-making and have fun with it!
Love,
Sharon
