I have been camping for years. First with my parents in a tent then a TT and then a small Class C. Mom and Dad let me and my sisters borrow the MH and take trips all over so we all know how to handle a MH. My ex-boyfriend and I used to go on trips in his Class C and when we finally broke up I bought one of my own. I first had a 1989 31' Winnabago Chieftain. I just traded this summer for a 36'1999 Fleetwood Southwind with 2 slides. Class A. I have been able to make small repairs when things go wrong but I rely heavily on my MH friends when it comes to advise. I have had flat tires, blown fuel injector o-rings, dead batteries and on and on. One of the most important things I learned while growing up was that when you travel in a MH you should always expect something to break down. Seems like that advise has never been wrong either. Sorry this is so long. I am so glad to have found this site and hope to visit it often. I leave for a week long trip to Ohio tomorrow and I have soooo much yet to do. Bye for now!

Welcome!! I'm originally from about an hour and a half south of you although I live in Tn. now. I was in Illinois and Ohio the first of the month. Went to visit friends at Buckeye Lake in Ohio and also caught up with some other friends too. Hope you have a great trip!!! Groovin Grannie Fernie and Running Bear (Winnebago Warrior)

Howdy Casadedi....we are SO happy to have you join our Forum. You have a good background in RVing.. We have owned several Fleetwoods, and have had very good service out of them.. Right now we have a 32' Jayco Eagle trailer with two slides... and enjoy it very much.
We too are leaving next week...on Tuesday to head for Nebraska...and a week long annual friends reunion.. They all seem like family...In fact, the BEST kind of family as we got to CHOOSE all of these...
When you are over your trip...or if you have time on the trip....come on back and chat... we'll be looking forward to getting to know you!
Happy Travels...

Glad to have you with us - and defintely not to long - just right to feel like I got to know you!
I'm also from IL - but have lived many places since and now that I'm fulltime, while I have Alabama as my legal residence, I don't spend as much time there as in other states every year.
Hope you have a great trip - and look forward to hearing from you again soon. Smiling is contagious - try it!
