Hi All,
Just found the forum today. I'm Judy and I travel with my husband Steve and our furry companion Annie. We have been RVing for about 16 years and went full time 3 years ago November 1st. We travel in our 05 Beaver Monterey and love it. It should be fun to visit with you all. I am going to let my sister-in-law know about it, they just went full time May 1st.

Do make yourself at home among us and know you are most welcome..
Tell you sister-in-law to hurry on over too!
Happy RVing! Joella

Hi Joella,
Thanks for the welcome. We are currently in Basalt Co, outside of Aspen. Where are you? How long have you been traveling? I am looking forward to meeting new friends.

Joella,
Another question, your reply came via my email, and then I had to highlight the women's forum page to see it.
Is there a way for it to come to the fourm sight itself? Does this make since:)

I did my reply to the Forum only.. I don't use this option, but I am going to hazard a guess that when you posted your new Discussion...at the bottom of the "box" in which you wrote your text, there are two boxes you can check...one states Show signature...and the other states notify me when someone replies.
If you click the Notify me when someone replies.. you will get an e-mail notification a reply is there on the Forum for you... Unchecked, no e-mail notification is sent.
Now..to your question. We have been RVing for a looooong time, since 1968. We have owned RV's of all kinds, trailers, 5th wheels, Class A and C motorhomes, and have done some motorcycle tent and motel travel, some camping on/off a boat, and took some marvelous all over the U.S. trips, rough camping with a plain ole van!!
We don't full-time, and we live in a small town west of Houston, TX..
You are in gorgeous country now...Love that Aspen area!
Again, GOOD to have ya here!! Enjoy..
Enjoy RVing!!...Hurry back now, you hear? Joella

Hey Joella,
Thanks for answering so soon. Well I went back to where my profile is, and son of a gun, I had marked the wrong box. Thanks.
We live and work out of our coach. Steve is semi retired. Steve is a CPA, and we work with not for profit organizations through out Colorado and New Mexico in the spring and summer, and then we winter on the Texas Gulf Coast. We own in one RV park in Port Aransas, and then we own a spot in an RV park in Aransas Pass.
We will be in the Houston area later this year. We love Brazos Bend State Park.
Thanks again for your help.

HI ya Jude,
Welcome. I'm new to the site and can tell you first hand, everyone here is wonderful, kind and helpful.
I'm gearing up to purchasing my second RV (hubby got the 1st one) and love reading what the seasoned girls share. Look forward to reading more from you. ~Kitty with warmth and a strong hand of friendship Tristan (son) & Bear Storing up my pennies & gumption to get on the road.

Hi Kitty,

I found your post. Good for you. I love the fact that you have not let your past affect what you want to do with your life. There are so many things to do out here. I am sure you know about WorkCamper magazine. I think that KOA may have a help wanted section. If you are into construction, there is lots going on in Colorado. Housing is a bit tough in the mountain area, but lots of building going on. We also see a lot of happening in the Gulf Coast. Better camping weather in Texas in the winter.
Keep the posts coming. The Rving communtiy is a wonderful place to be.

Hi Judy welcome to the forum, I'm fairly new myself and have also found this to be a great place. I know where Basalt is, as I am originally from Colorado but have gotten transplanted in the hot desert a few years back. I just bought my 5er the end of February and got moved into a retirement resort in March. I am looking forward to doing a trip, however I need to get a truck now to pull this thing. I still work, not retired yet but I work for the school district so I do get lots of time off. I plan on spending next summer a little farther north where its not so hot. Hi Ava,
We love the Dolores area. We spend a lot of time in the Cortez Durango area. Where did you live in Colorado? We spent over 30 years in the Louisville, which is just outside of Boulder.
Where are you at in Arizona? We love it there in the winter. My sister has a home in Parker on the River. We will be out that way in the fall to visit with her.
I'm guessing that Bandit and Gracie are pups. We have Annie. She is a wonderful Cockapoo who is now 7 1/2. What a pleasure she is to be with.
Have a good evening.
