Hello Out There
Yes, I am a very new "B" to this website. But I am not new to camping except that now I will be doing so without my husband as he recently passed away. I will bring my dog (Lab-Border Collie) and cat with me.
When I was a part of the husband and wife team we had a Class C motor home and more recently a tag along travel trailer, used for 10 years. For me, now, tho, alone, I am considering the purchase of a 2000 or a 2001 Winnebago Rialta. I sure would like some input about this unit. I have read some neg. feedback on the web plus I know that Winnebago and VW are no longer making this Class B model. What can some of you who may own or owned one tell me. THANKS !

Although I don't know the makes/models, there are several companies that still make a Class B, and I'm sure some of the women who own them will chime in soon. Good luck with the hunt!

Well, heck, you're welcome! The folks here are real nice, and have lots of opinions on just about everything. Add to that tons of support and you've got a winning combination! Where are you located?

Hi There! I'm discovering there are a few of us newly widowed or divorced ladies scattered around. You will probably hear from all those with B's. How about Marysdream jumping in - you have a Rialta, right?

Mary does have a Rialta - so hopefully she'll see this soon. Winnebago replaced the Rialta with a similar rv - a little bigger - more of a small class c - that you might want to look at. Personally, while I liked Mary's - I like the new ones more (it's more like what I drive) has just a tad more space, but isn't quite as wide as the standard Class C. Would be the Navion, I believe (although that might be the Itasca name - both are the same - just 2 different names.)
Smiling is contagious - try it!

I own a home in KY - but am heading to FL to look at this RV. I have been a FL resident for nearly 50 years prior to moving here. This state(KY) was my husband's home place. It is a beautiful - picturesque state but for me now, quite lonely. My children live near Birmingham and Memphis. I will probably move closer to one them as that was my husband's wish and is theirs too.

Hi - I just looked at the Winnebago website and saw the Navion. And O YES, why would anyone want anything else, however, it is a way out of my price range. It is, tho, a beautiful unit, without a doubt.

I don't have the Rialta as yet. I plan on looking at one this week. Prior to it, we owned a Sunline travel trailer, 24' which we pulled with a heavy duty Jeep Grand Cherokee. I really liked it, that kind of set up, kept it 10 years but now, for me doing this alone, I don't want to tow anything. I no longer have the Jeep either, my personal car is a PT Cruiser. Want a small RV unit, either the Rialta style or a 19'-22' Class C.

Barbara --
Sounds like you know what you're looking for, and that seems to be half the battle sometimes. I think there are quite a few folks from that side of the country who post here. Who knows, you might be able to meet up with some of them. Keep us posted on your quest!
P.S. I'm on the other side of the country, but if you ever make it out this way I can sure show you all the pretty places!
