Thanks for writing back,I had such a hard time getting on I was
beginning to think , forget it, just enjoy the ladies comments and be
happy with that.
I do have a story that I woud love to share with all of you, I'm 66 yrs
old and have been camping all my married life, from tenting to the last
a 32' Airstream TT, which I had to sell after my husband died. I thought
that's the end of my dream no more traveling (camping anyway)Then
by pure accident or divine interception , I found the Womens RV Forum,
I read and read and read. I called my sister, (who had traveled with us
for the last 3 yrs)and asked her if she would consider going with me if I
bought a motorhome (a small one) she said , sure why not!! So we are
in th process of looking and hoping we will find one before the
summer. I have a large family, between my sister and myself we have
11 children and 16 grandchildren which we love to death. So the trips
we are talking about are a couple with the younger grands and a
couple for the old grands.
I have learned so much just from reading this forum, that it has given
me the courage to do this. Being alone isn't fun but continuing to live
the way I had been with my husband , makes me feel that I am going to
be okay!! Thanks ladies ,for being here, I know just from reading this
forum , I am not the only lady benefitting from your love and
caring. !!!!!

Hi Betty – As the saying goes – when God closes one door, He opens another. How wonderful that you and your sister enjoy traveling together and what a blessing that you will be able to spend time with your grandchildren. Is that Vero as in Florida Vero? If so, will you be leaving the state for cooler temps in the summer? Best wishes to you as you shop for your next home on wheels. Fancy

Yes, I am in Forida, and yes we usually do head for the hills when the
temps go up up up. It sure is nice to live here in the winter but the heat
is a great reason to leave. I have a son that lives in Utah and my sister's
son lives in California , we have mutually friends in our orginal place of
birth, Brooklyn, N.Y. so finding places to go won't be too much of a
issue.
We have been talking about trips we would love to take and one of our
favorite places , the Arches in Utah, everyone should get to see that if
nothing else, it's amazing.

Betty,
I'm sorry you had so much trouble posting to begin wiht - but boy am I glad you didn't give up!
It's wonderful that you and your sister will be able to continue to travel and do what you love. Life hands us some different choices to make - but luckily, we have such variety and can do anything we really set our minds to!
I'm sorry about the loss of your husband, but heartwarmed to know that you aren't going to let that deter you. And your big family will be glad to see you visiting.
I agree about Utah - it's a gorgeous state - and I know I'll be heading back there many times.
Smiling is contagious - try it!

Betty not sure what part of Florida you are in, but we are getting together at the KOA in Wildwood this weekend. If you get a chance, come on down and meet a few of us from the forum. The group calls themselves the "Grooving Grannies" but as some pointed out they are not grannies but a group that loves to travel and want to meet up with each other. If you can, come on down, would love to meet you. I will be down there Friday afternoon and leave sometime on Monday.

Welcome Betty!
I'm glad you kept trying. I'll look forward to meeting you at a get together (GTG) or somewhere along the trail!
